holiday workshops
Twice a year, we invite young people to take part in an original musical theatre production.
We start our workshops with a completely unprepared cast on Monday morning and work over five days to present an open workshop to family and friends on the Friday evening.
The show is scripted by Jill, our resident playwright, to ensure all our students enjoy an equal role.
There are no main characters in our shows; because the scripts are specially written, every child gets to be the main character!
Our students work mainly in age related groups. All shows use original material, alongside well-known songs from pop music to hits from musicals.
The week is a mixture of work and play. Through games, exercises and looking at text, students will grow in confidence, engage with their imaginations and learn to work together.
To get the most from this course, students don't need to have any prior experience but should have energy and the willingness to work as a team member.
